AJstarted writing to expose hidden emotional scars that were becoming painful heart callouses. As a Survivor of interpersonal violence and as a Police Officer, she understands the challenges that pervade domestic conflict issues and the lasting effects of harmful relationships. Wanting to overcome her own significant emotional wounds, she authored ‘Finding 52’, a blog dedicated to her mum’s last year of life and focused on the restoration of hurting hearts. AJ now advocates for victims of abuse by sharing her story with humor and grace.
